I completely transformed one half of my room today. The all too familiar layout for the past at least 7 years has now changed into a completely new but much preferred layout :) It’ll take some getting used to though. My favorite part of the room is my very very miniature library/devos corner :) And of course, can’t complain about the new bookshelf.
Sigh, anyways. I had a rough morning though. I had anticipated watching a movie while scarfing down some delicious chocolate covered strawberries with Danielle and Sylvie @ my house this afternoon, but those plans changed & I can see why. God knew I’d need this day to myself. Thank you, Lord, You are so watchful of me. Anyways, once I started getting into the groove of things, the cleaning seemed easy until I realized there were still 5 drawers filled of things I hadn’t emptied out yet & I was a bit overwhelmed. But the process along the way was scattered with findings of hidden treasures that made the cleaning much more enjoyable :) My favorite finding was the one of old middle school letters from friends :)
But this reminded me of how…sometimes, circumstances in our lives may be a bit overwhelming, but there is blessing in enduring through this process. If I hadn’t continued cleaning, I would’ve never found those hidden treasures deep within the back of my drawers. Trials may be tiring, trials may be difficult, but each lesson learned with every fall is another blessing to bring us that much closer toward overcoming. And you know, change is hard. I can’t say I’m completely in love with this room yet, because it lacks that element of familiarity. But I know, it’s better than before :) And in the end, the cleaning…the laboring? it was all worth it.
